What data Traffic Lab uses, and where it comes from
This page separates data currently used in the app from reference sources and planned imports. The Delhi simulator uses OpenStreetMap-derived roads and does not show synthetic fallback roads.
Important: Some sources listed here are reference portals or import targets, not fully imported row-level datasets. The simulator should not be treated as an official dataset or certified traffic model.

Road network
Delhi NCR road network derived from OpenStreetMap/Overpass for planning-scale routing and congestion estimates.

Map tiles
OpenStreetMap raster tiles for visual map context in the simulator and homepage preview.

Demand profile
Delhi pincode adult-population values, pincode polygons, density estimates, weekday/weekend curves and zone-role weights. Used to generate deterministic OD demand; no personal mobility traces are used.

Delhi traffic priors
Curated planning priors for known pressure locations and corridors such as Ashram, Barapullah, NH-48/Dhaula Kuan, Azadpur, Anand Vihar, Kashmere Gate, Kalindi Kunj, Lajpat/South Ex/AIIMS and ITO.
Curated model input
Amenities / POIs
Accessibility metrics can generate placeholder jobs, schools, hospitals, markets, parks, bus stops and metro stops if imported POIs are missing. These are not shown as real POI datasets.
Simplified model proxy
Public transport
Bus/metro are represented in mode-share and public-transport-load estimates. Real GTFS route geometry and metro line geometry are not active yet.

Planning cost coefficients by intervention type, lane count, length, area multiplier and disruption multiplier.

Delhi A-H category rates used for planning land-cost estimates; locality/category GIS import is pending.

NCR collector / circle rates
District-level planning estimates for Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida/Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad and Sonipat. Exact row-level locality imports are pending.

These are the public homepages/portals we use as references or planned import targets. Exact PDFs, locality tables and GIS joins still need data-cleaning work before the app can claim row-level precision.
